RULES
of admission and training of international students
at Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky
§1.
Regulations of admission and teaching the foreign citizens at Saratov State University at the expense of the Federal budget is determined by the Resolution N 5 from 10.04.96 of State Committee of High Schools of the Russian Federation.
§2.
Rendering of paid educational services to foreign citizens is realized in accordance with agreements and contracts between Saratov State University and foreign educational Institutions of Higher Education or physical persons in the frames of the Article N 29 and Article N 33 of the law of the Russian Federation about higher and postgraduate education and regulations of the University.
The cost of education for foreign citizens should not be lower than that for Russian students according to the analogous educational program. The estimate of expenditures is calculated by the University Finance Department and should be affirmed by the First Vice-Rector of Saratov State University.
The contract of training and lodging in a University hostel is concluded personally with each foreign student.
§3. Necessary documents
A student's complete application file should include the following papers both in Russian and English:
- a form containing a full name of speciality;
- an extract from a student's record register or a list of the subjects' names with the marks;
- a medical resolution confirmed by the official Public Health Department of a home country;
- AIDS test confirmed by the official Public Health Department of a home country;
- a medical insurance certificate valid on the territory of the Russian Federation;
- 6 photos of the 5x6 format.
§4. Student's exchange
Saratov State University has a right to conclude student exchange contracts with foreign Universities. Foreign students coming in the frames of exchange contract, study free of charge and are accepted to the course of chosen departments of Saratov State University. Russian students, who are taking part in the program, study abroad on similar conditions.
§5. Russian Language Test
Foreign students have an opportunity to pass the Russian language test by Federal Educational Standard at the International Department of Saratov State University, its results are testified by Federal certificate.
§6. Payment Order
The character of the services, the contract's terms, the sum of the tuition fee, the conditions of payment for all services, and other conditions are included in the contracts and additions to the contracts by the University, On the grounds of the signed contracts the order of the organization of the University work is being created providing the following: the salaries for the division workers who deal with charged services, the staffs timetable, the budget of expenses for the educational services, educational plans and academic staff.
The contract and additions to the contract should be signed by Dean of the faculty, Head of the International Department, Rector of the University and a foreign citizen.
§7. Graduation
All students who have completed the educational course successfully and those who have passed the final State Certification are given Diplomas accepted in the Russian Federation corresponding to education and qualification (Bachelor, Master or diploma's specialist).
§8. TUITION FEES:
One year of studying at Saratov State University costs 2000 USD.
One academic year of study in postgraduate courses costs 2500 USD. The period of study in postgraduate courses with the defense of dissertation thesis lasts 3 years.
Summer School of Russian language
Costs: the courses that last 5 academic weeks cost 1400 USD
Preparatory Department of Saratov State University provides special courses in the Russian language. These courses include special subjects for the further major field of studying at Saratov State University.
