The basic bachelor's degree program implemented by Saratov State University at the Faculty of Geography in the field of study 05.03.06 Ecology and Nature Management and the profile of training "Environmental Management" based on the federal state educational standard of higher education.
The purpose of the Bachelor's degree program is to develop students' personal qualities, as well as the formation of cultural, general professional and professional competencies that contribute to their demand in the labor market and are necessary for successful professional activity in the field of ecology and environmental management, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Education in the field of 05.03.06 Ecology and Environmental Management.
In the field of education, the goals of the basic bachelor's degree program are the upbringing of a harmonious and highly moral personality with determination, organization, diligence, responsibility, citizenship, communication, tolerance, and perseverance in achieving goals.
In the field of education, the general objectives of the Bachelor's degree program are:
-training in the basics of humanities, social sciences, economics, mathematics and natural sciences;
-training in methods of geoinformation mapping and satellite data processing, the use of GIS technologies;
-preparing graduates to conduct scientific research in the field of ecology, nature conservation and other environmental sciences;
-preparation of graduates for control and auditing activities in the field of ecology and environmental management, to participate in environmental audits;
-graduate preparation for continuing education in master's and postgraduate studies;
- formation of the graduate's understanding of the Earth's biosphere as a complexly organized evolutionary multicomponent open system with direct and reverse connections and processes of different orientation and duration;
-formation of a graduate's comprehensive views on the geological, geographical, ecological and biogeocenotic processes taking place in the world, in Russia and in the Lower Volga region, their orientation in recent geological times and in recent centuries;
-research of the natural resource potential and the structure of environmental management in the world, on the territory of Russia and in the Lower Volga region in different historical epochs and at the present time;
-familiarization with the concept of sustainable development of the territory, principles and requirements of rational use of natural resources;
- deep development of methodology and methods for assessing the natural resource potential of the territory, the degree of anthropogenic transformation of ecosystems, and their resistance to anthropogenic stress;
-familiarization with the methods of field field research, desk processing of material, landscape planning; with the main regulatory documents in the field of environmental management, engineering and environmental surveys;
-obtaining ideas about environmental design and expertise of socio-economic and economic activities in territories of different hierarchical levels, about the procedure for preparing documentation for environmental expertise of various types of project analysis.
