The main educational program (OOP), implemented by SSU at the Faculty of Geography in the field of 05.03.03 Cartography and Geoinformatics, full-time education and the training profile "Geoinformatics".
The objectives of the Bachelor's degree program in Cartography and Geoinformatics are:
- training of professional personnel who have knowledge about the specifics of obtaining geoinformation about nature, society and their interaction, the degree of completeness and reliability of the received geoinformation;
- formation of an idea about the possibilities and methods of computer graphics, basic means of computer design and visualization of geo-images;
- formation of knowledge about the principles of description, construction and operation of geographic information systems and networks;
- formation of comprehensive views on the content and main tasks of new geoinformation technologies and methods of geoinformation mapping.
