The main educational program (OOP) of the bachelor's degree, implemented by SSU at the Faculty of Geography in the field of 05.03.02 Geography, full-time education and the profile of training "Geomorphology".
The objectives of the main educational program in the field of Geography are:
- training of professional personnel with knowledge of global, regional and local physico-geographical processes.
- formation of ideas about anthropogenic changes in the geographical shell and its subsystems and the forecast of these changes;
- formation of comprehensive views on the structure, evolution and dynamics of the physico-geographical process;
- study of the genesis, evolution, dynamics and functioning of the geographical envelope and its individual subsystems; the natural resource potential of landscapes and its use in the national economic complex of the Saratov region;
- familiarization with landscape genesis in specific regional forms, in particular, in the Saratov region and the Lower Volga region.
The field of scientific research includes solving problems requiring the application of theoretical and applied knowledge of "Geomorphology" in the study of the genesis, evolution, dynamics and functioning of the geographical shell and its individual subsystems at the global, regional and local levels; anthropogenic changes in the Earth's surface and the forecast of these changes; the development of draft practical recommendations for the analysis and conservation of the lithosphere at different levels. to study and prevent the dangerous effects of the national economic complex of the Saratov region.
