Bachelor's degree in the field of 02.03.01 – "Mathematics and Computer Science", the profile "Mathematical foundations of computer Science" is conducted at the Department of Geometry, the Department of Computer Algebra and Number Theory, the Department of Mathematical Analysis.
The student has the opportunity to choose a supervisor and the topic of scientific work among the staff of these departments.
Starting from the second year, the student performs coursework under the supervision of a selected supervisor. In the 2nd year, the course work is written in the discipline "Complex Analysis"; in the 3rd year in the discipline "Smooth manifolds and controlled systems". The bachelor's scientific work is completed by writing a final qualifying thesis (bachelor's thesis).
The field of professional activity of bachelors includes: research activities in areas using mathematical methods and computer technology; solving various problems using mathematical modeling of processes and objects and software; work in the field of information security and actuarial and financial analysis; development of effective methods for solving problems of natural science, technology, economics and management; software andinformation support for scientific, research, design, and operational management activities; teaching a cycle of mathematical disciplines (including computer science).
The specific types of professional activities for which the bachelor is mainly preparing are determined by the higher education institution together with students, scientific and pedagogical staff of the higher educational institution and employers' associations.
