On September 12, 2026, the VI Interdistrict Ethnocultural Festival "County Samovar-2026" was held in the city of Novouzensk, Saratov region. The event was held as part of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and brought together guests and participants from different regions of the region.
The festival has a cultural and educational character. Its main goal is to popularize traditional crafts, as well as to introduce young people to Russian and Orthodox culture. The program featured folk crafts, crafts, traditional cuisine and creative performances.
Saratov State University was represented at the festival by a group of international students from Turkmenistan, Guinea and the Republic of the Congo. Their participation has become an important contribution to the development of intercultural dialogue and familiarization with the wealth of folk traditions of the peoples of Russia.
The participation of international students in the festival allows us to expand the boundaries of intercultural communication, strengthen friendly ties between nations and show that Russian culture is open to all. For the students themselves, it is also an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Russia's history and traditions, and to become more familiar with its spiritual heritage.
