A foreign student participated in an amateur culinary competition in the nomination "National dish of the peoples of Africa", where she presented traditional recipes of her native culture: jollof rice, egusi soup, pounded yam.
The national cuisine of Nigeria is characterized by a wealth of flavors and a variety of dishes reflecting the traditions of the numerous peoples of the region. Spices and aromatic seasonings play an important role in Nigerian cuisine, giving the dishes a rich taste. National cuisine is not only a part of culture, but also an important element of hospitality and social communication in the country.
According to the results of the competition, a student from SSU became the winner in her nomination and received an award from Mamuka Topchishvili, a well–known Russian restaurateur, public figure, President of the Hospitality Association, ideological inspirer and organizer of the annual Volga gastronomic festival.
