Students from Turkmenistan and Nigeria, studying at SSU, participated in the annual international "Miss Navruz of the World 2026" contest. This event unites representatives from various countries to celebrate the Navruz holiday while promoting peace, friendship, and cultural exchange. Participants showcase their talents, share insights into their cultures, traditions, and values, and foster mutual understanding among peoples. Zokirova Medina, a first-year student at the Faculty of Sociology, highlighted Turkmen culture, performed a traditional national dance with a support group, and treated the jury to homemade pilaf. She earned the title "Miss Oriental Beauty." Sunday Oluwadamilola Elizabeth, a third-year student at the Pedagogical Institute's Faculty of Humanities, Russian and Foreign Languages, staged a scenario of a traditional Nigerian wedding and received the "Preserving Traditions" award. The audience showed enthusiastic support for participants. The Miss Navruz of the World contest plays a vital role in advancing intercultural dialogue and global mutual understanding.
